Patient Access to GP Records

Changes to the GP Contract require all practices to offer and promote the facility for patients to view on-line, export or print any summary information from their records relating to medications, allergies, adverse reactions and additional data that the doctor has agreed the patient may access.

This is an extension to the online service we already provide which allows patients to make appointments, cancel appointments and order repeat medications.  

In preparation for this we would encourage all patients to register for ‘Patient Access’.  Please ask at Reception for further details.

Moving House/Changing Doctor

Electronic medical records can be transferred between Maldon Road Surgery and practices that use the same computer system.  This means that once the registration process at your new practice is complete your medical record will be available to them. This transfer system is called GP2GP.
