Are You a Carer/do you support someone?
What would be the benefit of letting us know?...
* Flu immunisation annually
* You can book appointments/order prescriptions
for the person you care for on their behalf
* More than 1 problem to discuss - double
appointments are available
* At the same visit - you will be able to book appointments for yourself and the
person you care for
* Our staff will assist patients who do not feel comfortable
waiting in the waiting room
If you need to discuss your needs as a carer, please inform the
receptionist or Clinician as we are aware that caring for someone
else can effect your own emotional and physical wellbeing
If you are please let us know - so we can register you
as a carer, and have a record of the person you care for,
even if they are not registered at this practice
You may not realise you are a carer e.g. Do you support
a friend/neighbour/relative emotionally or physically?

There is a wealth of information on NHS Choices about carers and caring. Below are some links into the site that we hope you will find useful.

- Telling people
Caring responsibilities can make it difficult to maintain friendships or develop new ones. Telling your friends you're a carer is important so they understand and can support you.
- Taking a break
Caring for someone can be a full-time job, but it's essential that you take time out for yourself too. Read our guide to accessing breaks and respite.
- Housing and carers
Do you know your tenancy rights as a carer? Are you aware of all your care at home options? Do you need tips on moving someone around the home?
